Did you know that girls are twice as likely to drop out of youth sports by the age of 14 as boys?
For girls and young women from under-resourced communities, the statistics are even more alarming. One reason for this is the lack of proper equipment -- including a SPORTS BRA.
As a result, girls and young women from low-income communities are not able to reap the benefits of continued youth sports participation. LPF is committed to helping ALL girls, regardless of socio-economic background, get in the game. Help us ensure that ALL girls can enjoy the benefits of sports and recreation through supporting the purchase of NEW quality sports bras!
Want to help? Fans attending the Atlanta Dream's July 31st game at the Gateway Center Arena can bring NEW, unused sports bra donations of all sizes to donate to LPF! LPF will collect and distribute the sports bras to young women and girls wanting to participate in sports in the Metro Atlanta area.
Can't bring a donation to the game? You can still support LPF Atlanta by making a financial gift in support of LPF's mission. Together we can get kids off the sidelines and back on the field.
