LPF's SUMMER OF PLAY
LPF is aiming to help 50,000 kids access the joy of sports and play this summer.
To help us cover program costs and reach our goal, an anonymous donor is matching up to $20,000 of donations made from June 1-21!
About LPF's Summer of Play
The Need
During the school year, kids have access to P.E. class and recess for consistent opportunities to play. Studies have shown that during summertime, however, these opportunities drop off, leading to less active youth. This drop-off in opportunities for play affects kids from lower-income families even more.
The Solution
Working directly with community organizations, rec leagues, YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, and other summer camp programs, LPF is here to help keep kids active all summer long by removing the cost barrier of sports equipment.
This summer LPF is aiming to distribute $1.4M worth of sports equipment to 500 unique programs across our (7) markets, helping equip 50,000 kids to play.
